Briley Edwards

Briley brings a depth of experience and a passion for community-focused banking to his role. From working at large regional banks to community banks and even helping launch a bank from the ground up, Briley has built his career on trust, integrity, and a deep understanding of Georgia’s financial landscape.

Originally from Dooly County, where his roots in agriculture shaped his values and work ethic, Briley earned his Bachelor of Science in Agricultural and Applied Economics from the University of Georgia. He began his banking career in Moultrie, Georgia, where he also met his wife, and has since worked across multiple markets, steadily rising through the ranks.

Over the past two decades, Briley has held a wide range of roles, from loan review and credit underwriting to commercial lending and executive leadership. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President and Senior Credit Officer for Moultrie Bank and Trust, where he played a pivotal role in the bank’s founding, helping to raise capital, establish operational policies, and implement risk and lending frameworks.

Briley’s breadth of experience gives him a keen insight into the financial needs of individuals, small businesses, and agricultural enterprises alike. His leadership has consistently driven performance, innovation, and sound decision-making across the organizations he’s served.

He is deeply involved in the community and has served in leadership roles with local Rotary Clubs, chambers of commerce, arts alliances, and development authorities. A proud graduate of the Georgia Banking School and several statewide leadership programs, Briley is committed to building strong financial foundations for his clients and his community.

Briley and his family live in Moultrie, where he enjoys spending time outdoors, supporting local initiatives, and staying connected to his agricultural roots.
